VASI supernovas

Featured Replies

I run FSX with ASA2012 and, as far as I can remember, I'm running the default runway and VASI lights.  I have REX for water textures but the runway lights etc are not enabled in it.

I'd be grateful for suggestions on how to deal with the nonsense in the pic.  How do I go about making these look realistic?  I have A2A 3D Lights Redux but this program apparently cannot be used for VASI lights (is this true?).

I'd be grateful for suggestions.  Thanks,

Looks like an addon...

It may be built into the scenery otherwise try looking in the addon scenery folder and finding the .fx file. You might be able to replace it with a default light fx.

It is, but the halo.bmp in my FSX texture file was not the default. I installed the Swannick fix (fsx_lights.zip) from AVSIM and those red giant supernovas are now like they should be - red dwarfs, if you'll pardon the astronomical metaphor.

I wouldn't expect any less from Betelgeuse.
