EagleSoft Citation X taxi speed

Featured Replies

Hello,

Any Citation X drivers out there? Is there away to control the taxi speed while taxiing? As soon as I release the breaks the jet automatically accelerates. Even when the throttle is idle. Thanks for any help.

This is correct, use brakes as they do in real life.

For what it matters I also use the friction lua with fsuipc, that makes it a little more stable in taxiing.

Cheers,

Dirk.

So it does that in real life? I didn't know that. Thanks for the reply!

It has powerful engines that can push the plane forward even at idle seems like a design problem for Cessna! Haha

Just checking, what's your idle N1? If I keep my engines idle it won't start to taxi, engines will be around 25% N1 or a bit lower. If your engines are between 40-50% N1 at idle, it's an issue with the jet and FSUIPC.

N2 is at 70% and N1 is at 40%

Its not uncommon to see a Citation X taxi by with one TR deployed, to slow taxi speeds... its a powerful aircraft.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Yeah, that's probably the bug with FSUIPC. You have to open up FSUIPC4.ini and change "AxesWrongRange=No" to "AxesWrongRange=Yes" and see what your idle N1 is at then.

I don't have that issue with mine.

However when I first got it the throttles weren't correct and I couldn't get them below around 40%. I had to play with FSUIPC to get everything working right.

Ah ok. I will play with the FSUIPC.INI and hope that works. When I get home from work that is.
