Ok I lowered my autogen, noticed no difference in fps. I tried removing the utx textures and saw frame rates back to normal, only problem is I like the utx roads better. Anyone else having this problem.

Go into your Scenery Library, and move EVERY UTX related file, starting with number level 1, and then bring up the next one to 2, 3,4,5,6...etc. You should have all your UTX and other landclass files before (a lower number like 1,2,3,4,5...etc) any scenery (which in this example would be placed at level 6,7,8,9, etc) or airport including what FSGX wrote into the lib.  I had the same thing as you. On first install, last Saturday, I went from 29.9 to 11-14 FPS.  I then went into my Library and moved all the UTX and landclass together, as I explained prior. I then rebooted my system, and when having fired up FSX once more, was right back to my great pre-FSXG-install of 29.0.  It is been that way every since...

Could you post a screenshot of your library settings, to make it clear how it is right now ?

I suggest that you go to the UTX update page (I have a thread with the link in the FSX forum) and check to make sure you have the most current version of any UTX package you have purchased.

I hadn't done this in a while, and I was behind one or two updates and fixes for some of them. You might be, as well.

Why would you even try that?

Sounds like some sort of voodoo, unless you really knew what you were doing or found this somewhere else. Any theory behind this?

Thanks,

Dirk.
