August 3, 201312 yr Has any one noticed the nose wheel of the TDS B787 is off the ground,is the cure available?
August 3, 201312 yr Which panel are you using? If is not the one that came with the aircraft, at least did you copy the Virtual Cockpit sections to the panel.cfg you're using? Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. August 3, 201312 yr Mine is on the ground. I'm using the panel config that came with my original download. I think Luis has identified your problem if you have updated your panel. Posky/Skysim/TDS use xml gauges to control a lot of their animations. If you don't include the apropriate call outs in your new panel config lots of stuff won't display correctly.
August 4, 201312 yr I'm using a different panel (CamSim 787' one) and I see this too, I know it's because I've changed the panel, very likely u did the same. I remember POSKY 744' nose landing gear used to...wring if you changed the panel.
August 4, 201312 yr I`m using the Euro Link Meljet B777 panel as it has call outs and push back capabilities, also an attendant and pilot announcements, also the auto brake doesn`t work!
August 4, 201312 yr Posky/Skysim/TDS use xml gauges Who'da thunk? My AES spat the dummy first time out, seemed to work after repair, but yes the NW is off the ground!. I'm using quite a nice panel (seems to be only at flightsim.com) See here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/414711-4-x-788/?p=2729031 I see XML about gear height in the original VC3 section, surely not necessary to copy in all the VC bits?
August 4, 201312 yr Actually it IS necessary to copy all that into your new panel config if you want the animations to work correctly.
August 4, 201312 yr Well the shots in the link I gave above were done with no VC bits copied over. The NW is high yes, but as you can see, the external animations worked fine. The other VC sections in the as-issued panel are all about stock 777 gauges etc [VCockpit01] ... gauge00=Boeing777-300!PFD, 0, 222, 255, 288 gauge01=Boeing777-300!MFD, 256, 222, 255, 288 gauge02=Boeing777-300!Autopilot, 0, 0, 512, 58 gauge03=Boeing777-300!Clock, 1, 96, 122, 125 gauge04=Boeing777-300!Backup_Attitude, 256, 94, 125, 125 gauge05=Boeing777-300!Backup_Airspeed, 128, 94, 125, 125 gauge06=Boeing777-300!Backup_Altimeter, 384, 94, 125, 125 gauge07=Boeing777-300!Aileron_Trim_Ind, 0, 59, 81, 34 gauge08=Boeing777-300!Rudder_Trim_Ind, 83, 59, 81, 34 gauge09=Boeing777-300!Autostart, 166, 59, 30, 34 [VCockpit02] ... gauge00=Boeing777-300!Comm 1, 0, 0, 127, 54 gauge01=Boeing777-300!Comm 2, 0, 54, 127, 54 gauge02=Boeing777-300!Nav 1, 0, 108, 127, 54 gauge03=Boeing777-300!Nav 2, 0, 162, 127, 54 gauge04=Boeing777-300!Transponder, 129, 0, 127, 49 gauge05=Boeing777-300!ADF, 129, 49, 127, 54 gauge06=Boeing777-300!Audio, 0, 216, 125, 26 gauge07=Magnetic_Compass!Magnetic-Compass, 172, 103, 84, 82 gauge08=Boeing777-300!Pitch_Trim_Ind, 128, 103, 44, 152 gauge09=Boeing777-300!Beacon_Nav_Light_Switch, 173, 187, 83, 50 - not sure why they are there at all? Would it not be cool to get a functioning VC for this bird?
August 7, 201312 yr The panel provided puts the nose wheel on the tarmac, but the wing tip lights don`t work! with the euro link cockpit all lights work can anyone figure this one?
August 20, 201312 yr Hi there, Hello JA99, the only thing that you have to do is change the contact points! the panel is not important(in this case) you have to shortent the nose wheel. Open the aircraft cfg, go to the contacts points, and copy this line in the point.0 point.0 = 1, 54.75722, 1.2825, -17.3// and the rest of the line the third value -17.3 is the distance between the ground and the wheel, if this value is bigger the wheel wil stay in the air(in the original is 18 and something, but jou have to change this for 17.3) if this value is smaller the wheel wil go into the ground! Hope you understand what i'm trying to said! Please let me know if works! Cub51
August 20, 201312 yr the panel is not importantCub: if you read through this thread you will see that the xml coding in the panel does indeed affect the NW.It's unusual, but there it is. You should make sure the appropriate VC Cockpit bits are in there.
August 21, 201312 yr Hi WingZ, Maybe what you said is true, but for me works perfect, very often when I download a new aircraft, even with the original panel, there are problems with the landing gear and also with the tyre marks on the rwy after landing , the tyre marks are not where the wheels touch the ground but some 2 or 3 feets aways from the actual point of contact , by the way, this is very easy solved, and, there we go again, CONTACT POINTS! Happy landings! Cub51
