January 9, 201511 yr It was a hardware issue. I had been doing this for months no problems using my tv for the sound but I finally bought comouter speakers. When I plugged the speakers in i had to move the headphone plug to another port, it was in the microphone port not the headset port so it wasn't working properly. Once that was solved I wasn't patient enough to realize only certain fs2crew sounds come through the headset using the "HS" button in the panel. Only checklist/breifings come through the headphones. Works perfect!
