NGX engine sound

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there a way to increase to engine sound of the ngx inside the cockpit? Because, when I fly in real live, the engine sound is louder. I think that the engine sound of the ngx is to low. Especially with the startup and takeoff.

Regards

Check your sound settings in FSX, PMDG included a suggestion in the Introductory PDF. Play around this till you find a setting you like

There are sound options in the CDU which you can adjust, and engine noise is one of them, I'm pretty sure. I never use them, so I don't remember where they are exactly, but they are easy to find in either the PMDG Setup page, or FSactions page (I think it's the former).

Edit:

Dwildkat beat me to it, and his solution is valid also.

Did it perhaps sound louder in real life because you were much closer to the engines then you would be right at the front in the flight deck?

You get the jet blast sound when behind the engines. You can hear the mechanics of the engine at the front.

But what would you really hear if you had a radio headset on?  Maybe a new option for PMDG to work on?
