August 11, 201312 yr Has just been posted on simflight ... DirectX 11 lighting in FSX/P3D??? What announcement did I miss? Andreas Paul
August 11, 201312 yr The night lighting effects are better than anything else I've seen, but why are they calling it DX11? I thought P3D doesn't support DX11 yet?
August 11, 201312 yr I saw video earlier in the Milviz forum on Avsim http://forum.avsim.net/forum/561-the-milviz-support-forum/
August 11, 201312 yr Author Ok, thx! This post can be locked then I didnt see the post in the MilViz forum. :-) Andreas Paul
August 11, 201312 yr Moderator To answer your question about DX11, once the graphics are sent to a DX11 capable video card, they can be processed in the GPU using DX11 shaders for better, faster and smoother blending before being sent to the monitor. This process has nothing to do with the sim engine or its limitations. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 11, 201312 yr Author Thx! So, is there any potential for that in FSX except for the lighting in the VC? Andreas Paul
