I have been through and through my FSX Config file and cannot find the L.O.D. line where a setting of 6.5 is recommended.  Exactly WHERE is the L.O.D.?

ps.  Is 6.5 or 4.5 the recommended L.O.D>?

Depends how hard you want to push your computer, try them both and see how they affect your sim, I actually haven't tried 6.5 yet, have to give it a try see if its a viable change. Good luck

Can't see your specs, but I am running at 6.5 fine (however my CPU is overclocked to 4.9GHz). I think most people have luck with LOD=4.5

4.5 is the Aces sanctioned maximum setting.  If you set it higher and subsequently use the "Settings" page, FSX

will set it back to 4.5.

 

I usually fly with 5.5 and have two saved flight settings where I can choose between 4.5 and 5.5 in flight.
