Question:

When re-downloading an installer (serial key and legal copy bought beforehand) from "those sites" - don't they bear a risk for you to download malware?!?

I'm sure they do. But when it would have taken me 3 hours to download the OS from a Microsoft server or a matter of minutes from a torrent, ill take my chances and scan it when it's complete.

That's why I downloaded W7 as a torrent... Microsofts servers were at crawl speed when I tried to download the ISO from them.

I was trying to be a bit humorous.

So was I. :)

Until now in my 35+ years in aviation I have never herd or seen the word "giddy" used in reference to anything aviation oriented.

A theory:

Forums are a place where lonely people gather to vent things that they would not normally say or do in public.

A developer designs a product that is based on 1's and 0's its not real, its formulated into a picture that is not real that does all sorts of neat things until one turns off the computer. Poof its gone with no guarantee it will come back.

Say this product is priced at 100$ US, and 500 individuals that are "giddy" buy this. Total income is:$50,000.

That's allot of greenback for something that don't really exist.

If none of you contributed to the forums and no one anywhere "pumped" the developer up and I mean I've seen some serious pumping. made me "giddy", What do you think this product would have cost? All those atta boys praises and admirations and lets not leave out the giddiness is going to cost the consumer. How many developers do you think have sat on a product stretched its release out to the point the consumer was willing to pay just about anything for it? Look at the prior history here with all the tantalizing media generated to promote a product.

Get this the cost bare minimal. Who did all of the promoting? You did, for free.

Testers how much did they get paid?

How much overhead was there during the production process. how much did the printing of disks cost?

All this for a add on to a game that will cost more than the original game, something that isn't real............ Just a theory.

I hope its good, I hope its under a 100$, the beta testers I've talked to said "its nice."

That word nice, makes my cringe a little.

I could be totally wrong. Just a theory or a hypothesis.

I don't said that you all use it for pirating stuff. I don't use PirateBay for pirating, as I said all my addons, all my FS from 2000 to FSX, Windows, all my programs, are bought with hard worked money.

What I wanted to say is that you could use it at some point, as Trans_27 Pilot Chase said, to download FSX, or Windows, or another program that you have paid for, but you lost your cd, or you broke your CD and you need another copy for it. That don't make you a thief!!!!

OO, and I say for the second time, I'm not DUMP AirKevin, I don't need to hide from anybody my bookmarks, If I was a thief maybe I would deleted that bookmark. I don't feel guilty and I don't need to hide anything from anybody!!

It's the second time i've been call a DUMP and I'm not!!! Watch your language!

PEACE!!

At what point did I call you a dump. I merely stated that your statement that we all use it is incorrect. That was it. Now you're just throwing wild accusations around.

Nope and even if I did I wouldn't be dumb enough to have it show in a screenshot.

Where's the like button when you need it. In any case, I don't use it, either

For me that sentence is like calling me dumb for a second time, you just need a like button for what Airbusman330 has posted!

Let's just end this discussion here, we are not kids to fight for candies.

Okay, that was not my intention, so my apologies if you took it the wrong way. The intent of my original message was that I was in agreement in his post in which he stated that he doesn't use it, which was in response to your claim that we all use it (which is clearly wrong). It had nothing to do with your intelligence whatsoever. Hopefully this clears things up.
