How to Use End It All Program? Confused?

Featured Replies

Hey all! I had The End-it all Program, But am Very reluctant to use it, as I am a bit confused on how to use it? Can someone Explain to me how to use it? And Where I can download it again? I want to try it and see if my FS Performance Improves by Ending Programs I dont' need! I Have Windows XP Home by the way. Thank's Guy's! MIKE:)

Sure. Roy Chaffin has it on his web site. Go to www.roychaffin.com/rcs-panels.htmlthen select "utilities" scroll down one or two downloads and you'll find it. It's an update "Enditall2". Has a help file and I use it with XP. No problems.Enjoy! Now if someone can help me with my problem (See "Why all this gray") on this forum.

I still beleive endit all 1 is better and easier to use than version 2.Stelios

I agree. Enditall2 was very confusing to me. I went back to the original. Made more sense to me.

Why don't you all just use FSAutostart from Ken Salter? It's here in the library, it's free, and it beats the **** out of End-It-All IMOBestGrahame (EDHL)

Totally agree:I have both downloaded, but use version 1. It is far less complex and works fine with XP.I never did really figure out what version 2 does for me that version 1 doesn't do.Good luck:RTH

I do!It does not close down everything that enditall does and visa versa. I use endit all and then autostart (some of the time) At others I leave everything online and truthfully see little difference on my system and I have a mess of programs running in the background.Happy flying:RTH

Not sure about EnditAll, but FSAutostart will restart everything that was shut down. That alone sells it for me.

Please let me know what FSAutoStart cannot shut down. Keep in mind that some services do NOT allow themselves to be shutdown, and there is nothing that I (or anyone else) can do about that...

Agreed: But it will not shut down everything to start with,Please do not misunderstand. Neither does EndItAll. I am not bad mouthing autostart in any way. It is a great little program. I am simply saying that you can disable more items by useing both if that is your bag.Happy flying:RTH

I was just like you had End it All but didn't know how to use it so my friend showed me ----Start up you're rig ---open end it all and where you see the 2 crosses open it and hit -close all- now open flight sim- sq box- and what ever else you need to fly ---Louis

You could also go to www.blackviper.com and learn about services profiles, which will allow you to prevent unneeded services etc. from even loading. Some services and anti-virus programs remain partially memory resident if shut down after loading. I use a profile specifically created for FS9. Once the system is fully booted up I use FSAutostart to shut down Explorer and defrag memory.David

I tried FS Autostart but was very confused as to what to shut down. With no idea what all of the shorthand abreviations meant, I was afraid of shutting down needed items.

As each service is highlighted in FSAutostart it tells you what it is and gives a suggestion whether to shut it down, or not.

If you use services profiles you can experiment and not have to worry about shutting down the wrong thing. Just don't alter the default (Primary 1). Then,if you screw up, just let the computer boot up using Primary 1 (which it will do automaticly) and everything will be normal.David
