Strange thing happening...

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,I have something strange going on in Fs9 and I wonder if anybody has a clue what would be causing it.Let me explain:When I start Fs9 and select or create a flight, everything goes as planned until I stand on the runway. There, for some reason my trim goes beserk and drops down. (as if pulled by gravity). In a Cessna, the only indication is the trimwheel but on larger planes I can see the complete horizontal tail (not only the elevator) dropping. When it reaches rockbottom, there's no way I can get it centered again and if I succeed, it starts dropping again as soon as I release the numpad 1 key. Before someone starts calling me stupid. It has in my opinion nothing to do with the joystick or its calibration because it also happens when I have no joystick connected...I think, of that I'm not quite sure, that it started with the installation of 'Ready for Pushback' but I have uninstalled that and the problem is still there.I have tried different versions of fsuipc, pfc.dll (I use a pfc throttle quadrant) but sofar with no succes...Anyboy?Luc 'Glaudrung' BrusselmansBelgium

Even though you have no joystick connected, an axis from a controller may still be assigned to the trim function. Check in the commands and manually clear out any assignment to that function. For example, when I unplug my rudder pedals, the rudders on any plane go full left.

LucI'm sure others will provide more detailed answers, but meanwhile let me recommend to delete your FS9.cfg file. FS9 will recreate it next time it starts. This may clear the elevator issue. Dave Vega

Yep toggle the autopilot it may look off but it most likly on ...

Thanks evrybody for the suggestions. However, Last night, after some trial and error testing I found the culprit.I wrote before that I disconnected my jostick (in FS9) but that was not completely true. I disabled the stick but left it attached to the computer. The solution was the connectioncable between my flightyoke and the PFC throttlequadrant. I replaced it and everything went well again.Must have been a loose wire or something like that. Thanks anywayLuc 'Glaudrung' Brusselmans

good that you found the problem its amazing how such a small thing can make a game unplayable...
