Hi guys!

LOVE THE PMDG 777! just a problem when im taking off and set toga the aircraft goes to the toga speed and then the throttles drop down to 50%. What am i doing wrong? I have CH yokes and pedals Thank you!

Best Regards Anthony Davis

It takes about 2 sec maybe, but after TOGA your controller shouldn't be able to affect throttles unless HOLD is indicated on the FMA.

I may not understand your problem statement. Throttles to about 55% N1 then press TOGA then power increases to thrust reference and THR REF is indicated on FMA. Then what happens?

Have you tried the A/T Manual override option in the PMDG Menu? If you set it to 'Never' everthing should be fine.

Hi thanks for the quick reply! I spin the engines to 50% then set toga. then couple of seconds (after toga is set) the N1 drops down to 70%. Then I click the toga button again and it works perfectly. I haven't pressed on my brakes.

I have the ch throttles as well. Advance the throttles to full once you have engaged TOGA and you should be ok. Take a look at the fcom for further information.

Hi. It was in hold mode only. I changed it to never.

ok my issue has been solved. The problem was I changed the thrust override to never and it worked. Thank you!

The other, better way is to advance the throttles to the stabilization thrust setting. Press TOGA, AND THEN PUSH YOUR HARDWARE THROTTLE FORWARD.\

In the real plane, there are electric servo motors that automatically push the throttle forward. Most of us don't have awesome throttles that move themselves, so your hand will have to do it ;)
