777 failures, just a question?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was looking through the failures list in the FMC for the 777 the other day and a thought struck me. Weird I know!

If failures are set at "Random/on" does that mean that the failures will only occur if I abuse the plane or a part/system wears out or does that mean the part/system will fail after a given random period of time. Just a thought!

Great plane by the way, truly amazing but still not going to replace all my MD11's in the hanger, there is just something about that plane!

This is covered under the Service Based failures option.

Yes.

...also:

Read the intro manual because it would've explained this for you, and there's a load of other helpful stuff in there.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Kyle,

I must get to grips with the manuals, just not had the time just yet. I started looking through one manual the other day but after 100 pages about the emergency door operation I kind of gave up lol.

Just joking but I will get round to the manuals as time allows.

I had to dig into those million pages often during testing, get familair with each one so you know where to look. Then I use the search in the adobe reader to find a key word for the topic I am looking up. Saves lots of time.
