Hi all,

 

The new PMDG 777 is awesome. However, I do have one issue. Whenever I am on final with an add-on airport, my computer runs out of memory and FSX crashes. I know I have enough RAM (8 gigs). I have read that it is an inherent FSX issue since it is a 32 bit program. Any suggestiions to alleviate this issue.

The OOM is about VirtualAdressSpace (VAS), not about physical RAM. Lower your graphics settings. Lots of suggestions in the introductory manual.

Nah, it's just from people not being patient when they press POST THREAD, or they're not checking to see it actually posted when they get the 503 error.

Its a forum bug currenly going on at AVSIM or people not mean too, not his fault.

 

Maybe you should make your 13th post something meaningful!

Its high memory resourse airport scenery try turing down some settings you cant have everythiing its a old programme. Disable your scenery your not flying to

 

Turn down your cloud draw distance..

 

AI Traffic %

 

LOD Radius = 4/5 that = large

 

Go into your FSX cfg and replace is with 4.0

 

turn down your water settings

Memory leak caused by the scenery. Which add-on airport were you flying into?

 

You need to go into the scenery folder, find ALL landclass files, and MOVE them to their own scenery directory as if they were scenery in their own right. DO NOT CREATE A TEXTURE FOLDER!!!!

 

e.g.:

 

MyScenery\scenery <<<<<<<< Move the LANDCLASS files from here (hopefully the dev called them something_lc.bgl, lcsomething.bgl, etc..)

MyScenery\texture

 

MySceneryLandclass\scenery  <<<<<<<< Put the landclass files here and add it to the scenery library manually.

MySceneryLandclass\texture <<<<<<<< DO NOT create this folder!
