September 6, 201312 yr Hey guys! The PMDG 777 is a fantastic plane to fly! A whole load of great work definitely shows in the systems quality and graphics! I have one problem with the paintkit though. The alpha channel that comes with the paintkit PSDs for the windows on the fuselage of the 777 does not show the black cutouts for where the windows are. So when the paint is exported into flight sim, the windows are covered in the paint and are not transparent to see inside the cabin. I am certainly not an expert when it comes to working with Photoshop, but I do know a lot. So I am unsure as to why the alpha channels for the windows are not already prepared. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! Alex Makoviecki

September 7, 201312 yr Author The alpha channel for cabin windows are located on the cut fuse sections that you paste your main fuse to. Pete Mac Paint PMDG Graphic Designer I am aware of that. But the alpha channel on the cut fuse sections does not have the window cut outs. The alpha channel is totally white on those.
September 19, 201312 yr I am interested in knowing the answer to this as well. Also does anyone know if PMDG uses the alpha channel for glossiness? My engines and tail are painted with a carbon fiber texture and I would like to vary the glossiness in conjunction with the pattern to enhance the effect. Paul Cordogan
September 19, 201312 yr Take the alpha channel from another DDS livery by PMDG with DTXBMP save as BMP, than open with DTXBP your Fusuelage1 2 3 etc with DTXBMP and import the alpha channel previosly saved this is a trick and works Marco Negri
