September 8, 201312 yr I've been using hde clouds, which I know are very detailed, ill go ahead and try 2048 Rex clouds Oh and love the vatsim videos @Hopskip it's safe to save and reload flight, and this will reduce VAS. About textures, i'm using now all at 1024. It's important to select REX DXT optimized clouds and to disable all scenery that is not needed for current flight. Lod radius should be default, 4.5. This is the way to deal with OOM's, and that TML and load radius extremely increased settings will improve graphics just a little bit, but will increase VAS usage too much. It's just not worth it I will start soon a separate thread about this, i think i have found something important, but needs to be tested more Zeljko Budovic
September 8, 201312 yr 2.048 should give you nearly the same visual quality as 4.096. Especially for things that are not in your cockpit - like clouds. Compare the PMDG T7 intro doc for further details. BTW, this is my latest OOM ( ): http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419457-oh-no-not-another-oom-in-the-pmdg-t7/#entry2783322 What happened to AVSIM
September 8, 201312 yr I always save manually on the ground at certain stages. Then every couple hundred miles in cruise and once before TOD. Never had it crash on me in the 737/777 - however the sim does take a minute to coke back on average. Just do not touch anything and let it do its thing. On my first 777 online flight it froze for five minute saving everything. I just left it and it came back fine. - Luke Pabari
