"Chris sent me a new exe. file and it corrects the problem."Chris sets an example for freeware support that only a select handful have met in payware support. I haven't downloaded his set yet, but seeing some of the screenshots, I am amazed not just by the clouds, but by the environment work Chris has done.In spite of my comments about 98SE, there's some very solid reasons for migrating to the newer platform if one has the time and funds to invest in it--and you may save money in the long run. One key reason is software development--since most people coding these days code under XP or 2000, more problems like this are bound to happen. A payware company may not offer the fix that Chris did. When I retire my digital imaging suite, I'll throw XP on my desktop. And that may happen sooner rather than later--my wife doesn't like all the lab equipment I keep around the house, and the newer suites have all the functionality mine did at a 20th of the cost. Still, the scanner piece of the suite--an old scanner based on an ISA interface, has a sentimental value to me since it has withstood twelve years of my abuse, and outlived four different PC's and several versions of Windows. I had to hack the drivers to get the thing to work in Windows 95, but it paid off. I used the thing to fax back my signed job offer for my current employer five years back.Maybe I'll have it bronzed :)But I digress--long live CHRIS, and I apologize for the grief I gave Bob, who was only trying to make an earnest effort at replying...-John
