Saitek X52

Featured Replies

just ordered mine to replace my trust X45. Anyone used one yet ? Mine should be here in the morning. Can't wait !

Please tell us what you think. People in IL 2 and LOMAC forums thinks it

Keep an eye on the frontpage in the coming weeks. I will be doing a full review of the X52.RgdsAidihttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0100/avsim_sig.jpg

I am interested as well. I don't like the idea of a twist stick as I use separate rudder pedals already.

I used to have the X45 but have since passed it on to a friend. I remember enough about it to make a comparison i think! There is actually a review of the X45 that was written a year or so ago on Avsim.RgdsAidihttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0100/avsim_sig.jpg

OK. Just finished setting it up.First impression. It's nice. I like it. A lot !Arrived in a really pro looking box. The whole thing looked quality. The Throttle and Stick feel better made than the X45. Just about all the buttons have those REALLY BLUE lights that look great. The Stick feels a lot more precise than the X45 and everything seems easier to get to on both. Their is an addition of an analogue slider on the throttle thats nice. First thing I did was assign it to the speedbrakes and it works like a charm. All the rotaries have little rubber bits for traction. The blue LCD looks good and it's nice to have a twist rudder back.So far then. 8.5 out of 10.

Glad you like it cloud tiger, that's what counts.Like P

Vulcan perhaps you have big hands ;) I always found it a struggle to use the rocker.

I have it too, and I really like it!:7 Can you check one thing for me please. My Stick has a larger deadzone at the center.Previously I had Saitek X36. When I moved the stick even a little the + symbol in x/y axis window in the control panel was also moving. But with Saitek X52 when I move the stick a little, the + symbol is not moving. I have to move the stick more, especially the down movement. In other words, minor movements of the stick at the center are not detected. All my deadzones in Saitek control panel are set to neutral.Could you check please if your Stick is working the same way.Thank You

Yeah mines the same. Just needs some tweaking.

Just an observation.KEWL isn't it how a "hardware" topic stays in this forum when the managing editor of AVSIM makes a couple of comments. But, who said life was fair.Regards,BobShttp://s95171098.onlinehome.us/junk/aopa.jpgSeems the rage to talk about the "size and speed" of each others computer. Beat this if you can for solving novel/unique problem anywhere in the cosmos. ..Have K&E and know how to use it!

I started this thread so that people who would be interested in buying an X52 could get some feedback from me.Please leave the thread that way. No one is interested in your grudges or political comments. Please do not feel obliged to reply to this post as I will not be replying to any you make.

And you started it in the wrong place. I am not questioning your intentions, very noble,I just think it is kiewl that it is not moved to the hardware forum. It is pure hardware isn't it?
