September 11, 201312 yr Hi I saw an earlier thread about PMDG 777 being released on CD after 6 months, i have a very slow Internet connection, it would probably take a long time to download,,is there any chance PMDG or other developers could download the files on a CD and sent it out, obviously I would pay the extra costs. Thanks Lee Choux
September 11, 201312 yr Is there any you can download it from like the Internet cafe, once download then copy on to the USB and then take it to snappy snaps they will copy it on the DVD. I did the same for pmdg 777 and pmdg 747 8 expansion pack
September 11, 201312 yr Author Good idea, thanks for the suggestion,,the only thing I am concerned is using my credit card in a public Internet cafe/machine.
September 11, 201312 yr You don't have to do that. Pay for it from home and the download link will be emailed to you. Then go somewhere with a better connection and download it from there. At the moment you make the payment, you're only sent the download link. Also, you can pay with paypal, which is safe to do in an internet café if you have a paypal account made beforehand. September 11, 201312 yr Author Perfect .......that's exactly what I will do, so silly for not thinking of that in the person. Many thanks to you both for your valuable suggestions. I look forward to using the B777, and it will be my first time using a 3D cockpit, which hopefully will be fun.
September 12, 201312 yr good luck with that I was going to suggest to go to a mates place who might have a better connection than at least you know where you downloading it from I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
September 12, 201312 yr If you pay via PayPal, especially in a public network, make sure that you actually got logged out automatically from your PayPal account. On some occasions you stay logged in, so re-enter paypal.com and check whether you're still logged in or automatically logged out. Explicitly log out if necessary. What happened to AVSIM
September 17, 201312 yr Author Thanks very much, just wondered if it is esential to have programes like Ezdock or Track IR. This is my first time using 3d cockpit, just want to make the experience great as a few folks say that once you go to virtual cockpit you will never switch back to 2D which is great to hear Thanks

This is my first time using 3d cockpit, just want to make the experience great as a few folks say that once you go to virtual cockpit you will never switch back to 2D which is great to hear Thanks I don't personally use either (even though I have them) - 99% of the time it's mouse+spacebar and wheel to pan around and zoom for me. This is my first time using 3d cockpit, just want to make the experience great as a few folks say that once you go to virtual cockpit you will never switch back to 2D which is great to hear Thanks For me it's a "fixed" VC view I use most of the time (Captain's glareshield view) and a number of 2D popups on my 2nd monitor (CDU, EFIS/MCP/DSP, lower DU). No TrackIR for me, but 2 monitors. A 2nd monitor CAN be less expensive than TrackIR and opens up opportunities like browsing the internet during cruise or look up documentation (QRH or others) and charts. What happened to AVSIM
February 1, 201412 yr Author Sorry to drag an old post up, but yesterday I finally took the plunge and purchased the B777 rather than waiting for both SP and CD version. I am very impressed with this work of art, I am also a 2D panel person, but surprisingly I have started to take to the VC, just takes some while getting used to it. I am very impressed with the whole sim, the Auto Cruise feature, it's very clever and a joy to operate. I was even surprised to see the you can turn the foot heater on. The checklists and abnormal is the best I have ever and probably will see. Well done to the team for another great product.
