September 15, 201312 yr ohmm... it is not answering my question, say do you have moderator status (if so it would be kind to be precise enough) or are you just bored ? JG
September 16, 201312 yr Huh??? In the 737NGX, and 777, switching transponder mode does NOT work, and pressing IDENT does NOT work. Tuning the radios is no problem, as the aircraft are coded to use FS, and SB uses FS for this function too, so this works in ALL aircraft without problems. It is the transponder that explictly needs to be programmed to be interoperable, as there is no FS flag for transponder state. The transponder code works though as there is an FS variable for this. Best regards, Robin. Ah, when you said SB integration you didn't specify the transponder issue... I wasn't talking about the transponder, but the radio freq changes (which turns out was my mistake - see below)... I'm aware of the transponder issues. It's no big deal to me to go back into SB4 and turn on the transponder there since I run SB4 via simconnect on a separate laptop... You don't have the com1 radio turned on at the 777 radio panel (Pedistal) There needs to be a Mic light on and the monitoring/volume button needs to be in, lit up, and turned to the right as far as it can go (single left mouse button click on the 2 buttons will do this). If you do not turn on the radio, it will simulate "Radio turned off" by tuning the highest VHF frequency it can (something like 138.97 by memory.) The picture below isn't the PMDG bird, but you can see "MIC CALL" button illuminated and the L VHF knob twisted far right. These 2 buttons need to be in this situation to be able to change frequency, because with them off, your actual VHF communications radio is off. ... you can even use VHF R as a second radio and use just the R VHF knob to "listen" to a second radio (but not transmit on 2 at a time). This way you can listen to ATIS and ATC at the same time, and respond to ATC, with the ATIS continuing to play. The MIC CALL button on the PMDG is actually just a vertical "Line" that lights up orange when it is on. All radios will turn themselves off when the power is turned off (Batt off). So a cold and dark start will have these off. This is because radios use electricity to run, and aren't magic. Thank you! I'm not at my PC right now to test this, but I'm sure this is my issue...! Never thought that I'd actually have to turn on COM1 - Duh... (I don't have to do this in my other payware A/C, but then again, THEY aren't as detailed as PMDG) Thanks! Robert Shepherd
September 16, 201312 yr Commercial Member it is not answering my question, say do you have moderator status (if so it would be kind to be precise enough) or are you just bored ? No sense in being intentionally difficult. Read the link he posted and it's quite obvious what he's referring to. There's no notification because, as with the real world, too: Ignorance is no excuse when it comes to breaking rules/laws/etc. It's clearly posted in the initial part of the forum (where you can select which PMDG subforum you want). Sign your name, or your posts get deleted. The reasons are stated in the above-linked post. Being a mod has nothing to do with it, really. You were curious as to why your post magically disappeared and he provided an answer. Kyle Rodgers
September 16, 201312 yr i understand, negative post without a full name get maybe deleted, positve ones without a full name stay... hahaha how funny i that ? i use initials only because i want to have a little rest of privat sphere ! ...my ex ex wife, neighbor 5th grade, boss and the room cleaner`s dont need to know that i do flight simulation in my spare time, even if you could be proud of owning this product. If PMDG need to know that i have purchased the T7, I can also add selected parts of the order/purchase details data to my signature if they want. ...and another thing Kyle, say are you a moderator ? ...if not plz be so kind and dont play a "super important deputy", many customers dont like that ! JG
September 16, 201312 yr Commercial Member negative post without a full name get maybe deleted, positve ones without a full name stay... hahaha how funny i that ? Simple fact of life. People are less tolerant of people who both don't follow the rules and draw attention to themselves. i use initials only because i want to have a little rest of privat sphere ! There's nothing private about a first and last name. Google Kyle Rodgers. You're bound to find about five. One is a big wrestler somewhere, another plays hockey, one died in a fiery car crash, another is down in Florida, and there are probably others. As someone who's worked the security (particularly that of information security) realm, the assertion that first and last name is somehow sensitive information is technophobic at best. ...and another thing Kyle, say are you a moderator ? ...if not plz be so kind and dont play a "super important deputy", many customers dont like that ! I'm not playing "super important deputy." I'm playing the role of the person who happened by your post and added detail to your question. There's a huge difference. ...either way: Hi, I'm Kyle Rodgers. I couldn't care less about what people think of me. Clearly. Kyle Rodgers
September 16, 201312 yr Commercial Member ...thats your opinion haha - okay. Well, my opinion is also the opinion of the vast majority, and is also one that keeps me out of trouble with the rules here, so... Enjoy your opinion and the eventual consequences of it. Kyle Rodgers
September 16, 201312 yr thx will do, ...and for me, private sphere is much more important as any consequences could ever do, you can respect that or not, i dont care. JG
