Also crashed on the STAR into Dubai but luckily it recovered after an autosave restart,

 

Happens every flight im getting used to it.....settings are very modest aswell and gone through the manuals etc about the whole VAS thing.

Is it crashing on you or freezing? I have a freeze just about every flight in the 777 and NGX but after 2-10 minutes it unfreezes and continues without issue.

It is fsx.exe apphang error and left more than 10 mins but would not restart - once you have the apphang error in fsx there is no possible "definite" cure for it that I can find on the net or anywhere else.

Probably nothing to do with your issue, but I have had issues in the past like this.

 

Right clicking and running as admin, for BOTH FSX and my weather add-on [REX] fixed the issue.

My issue is the much discussed OOM but as i say luckily i can just restart pretty much where it crashed thansk to autosave, just a shame. Not sure where to really look next.

 

Scenery library is down to minimum selections (departure & arrival airports, FTX and UTX), never really used big photosceneries much, x1024 textures, dense scenery settings in FSX, low water settings.

I had an OOM when flew to OMDB last night! maybe there's something there. BTW i never had a crash with aerosoft scenery...
