September 16, 201312 yr Evening, I decided to go ahead and purchase the 777, aircraft now installed without any problems and plan to do my first flight tomorrow. Now a few questions.... I know there's always the same questions being asked on these forums ie release dates etc etc. So before I continue I apologise in advance if these questions have been already answered. Firstly I never done a lot of reading into the product specs ie what it features and certain things like wing flex blah blah blah, I just bought it knowing PMDG is firsts class when it comes to aircraft like this and this is a thing a beauty already ! I noticed though that it does not include the RR engine variant ? Is there any reason for this ? Is it planned etc ? And I am hearing after buying the product that no -300 variant will be made ? Is this rumours or am I correct in reading that ? If they team releases an expansion consisting of the -200ER and -300, then we could see the three engine variants. September 17, 201312 yr The real life 777-200LR uses only one type of engine. Companies cannot buy a 777-200LR with a different engine variant. Same goes for the 777-300ER, which is actually expected to be the next product release from PMDG. The 777-200ER has different engine variants. Not sure when 777-200ER will be released by PMDG, but it will be after -300ER. The real world 777-300ER has GMCS (Cameras to help ground maneuvering and taxi which display in the cockpit)... and only 1 engine type available. (Only 1 engine type from Boeing, not just PMDG) the 777-300ER is not the same as a 777-300. September 17, 201312 yr Omg as I respect your question and will all due respect possible, you are confusing very different models. What you got is the 777-200LR and 777-200LRF which use GEother models (which don't have yet, but may show as addons) include: 777-300ER GE 777-200ER GE, RR, PW 777-300 GE RR, PW, GE (second GE engine here) 777-200 GE RR, PW Flying Tigers Group
September 17, 201312 yr Commercial Member I noticed though that it does not include the RR engine variant ? Correct. Is there any reason for this ? The real aircraft does not have this option. Is it planned etc ? No. And I am hearing after buying the product that no -300 variant will be made ? The -200LR/F is out. The -300ER will follow (similarly, only the GE engines, because that's all the real one comes with) The -200ER will follow that. Currently, no -200 or -300 has been committed to. Kyle Rodgers
