  1. Thanks for the reply. Although I'm not talking about re-installing again on the same drive but a completely different one with new copy of windows 7.... I'm just worried it thinks it's another computer and won't work. Jammur
  2. Hi there , I have installed the 777 and flew a few touch and goes with no problems. The thing is I'm planning on installing FSX on a new SSD drive how will this work on a new drive in regards to my license on re-installing ?? Rgrds Jammur
  3. JAMMUR posted a topic in PMDG 777
Evening, I decided to go ahead and purchase the 777, aircraft now installed without any problems and plan to do my first flight tomorrow. Now a few questions.... I know there's always the same questions being asked on these forums ie release dates etc etc. So before I continue I apologise in advance if these questions have been already answered. Firstly I never done a lot of reading into the product specs ie what it features and certain things like wing flex blah blah blah, I just bought it knowing PMDG is firsts class when it comes to aircraft like this and this is a thing a beauty already ! I noticed though that it does not include the RR engine variant ? Is there any reason for this ? Is it planned etc ? And I am hearing after buying the product that no -300 variant will be made ? Is this rumours or am I correct in reading that ? Regards Jammur
  4. Better Image quality and less screen flickering with ATi Radeon. I have the 5970 which is a dual GPU altho its way too much for FSX it makes up for it in games like Black Ops etc. I would definetly opt for a a ATi 5770 or the new 6 series as they are rather cheap :DJAMMUR
  5. I was on the exact same boat as you. I decided to stuff it and upgrade my full computer. What I learned was taht the Processor is the main thing you need for more FPS, and for FSX you need at least 4GB of RAM. I upgraded from a Q6600 to an i7 920 and stayed with my original 8800GTX from Nvidia and I gained almost 30 FPS ! So a few motnh later I decided to get the ultimate ATi Radeon 5970 GPU thinking it would give me even more but only an extra 5 so GPU does not matter but be sure it has at least 1GB of memory. Also I would recommend 6GB of RAM. If your on a budget then an i5 or even an i3 will do as they are extremly overclockable !Hope this helps :DJAMMUR
  6. I dont actually own the JS41 yet, I know it says it on my Sig but I have been meaning to get it :DJAMMUR
  7. OK OK, Of course I understand. I just think to myself that surly nothing can beat the Airbus at this moment I am as much as everyone here excited about the release of the NGX and also I know that it WILL be a better looking aircraft I just cant imagine it yet :DJAMMUR
  8. You said it's too clean looking ? Well your bringing out a new aircraft so what's the matter with it looking like it's fresh out the factory ? :)JAMMUR
  9. Of course of course I know you win ! but I was referring to that to the view in the screenshots (pilot view) and not zoomed in. Although I understand Your attention to detail. Im not sure by looking at those screenshots that the detail has beaten the Airbus X. BUT and big but, we have yet to see your night lighting and exterior. JAMMUR
  10. Hey did you have any grief from security carrying your hard drives on your hand baggage ? Just curious :)RgrdsJammur
  11. +1 Would be interesting to find this out. Also to mention that the cockpit looks too much like the default ! Obviously alot more clickable buttons and systems. The Aerosoft Airbus X will be hard to beat in Cockpit detail and Sharpness, so will be interesting to see what this brings. Only my opinion.JAMMUR
  12. Thanks for the reply, all I wanted to know :( JAMMUR
  13. I think we are heading on a differant direction to another aircraft ! Ryan could you possibly ansewer my question ?RegardsJAMMUR
  14. Glad to hear the great news on the continuing development on the NGX. We have heard almost everything which has been done to the aircraft down to the last screw by the sounds of things ! Here's my one and only question, something that's been bothering me throughtout my Flight Sim experience. **AIRCRAFT STROBES** Now first of all they are never constant and always seems to go off whenever they want as you get into the flight which is unrealistic, especially night flying ! The only model that I have seen with the correct sequence of the single strobe and then beacon is the Ariane 737 but this still, after a bit into the flight it fades away and all the beacons and strobes go off at differnat times. I'm curious to know if you have found away to make it realistic in this model or can it be done at all ? I like the way way Airbus have their unique "double strobe" then beacon on a constant rythem ! That way you can always tell between a Boeing and Airbus :( Keep up the good work on the NGX I cant wait myself, The longer the better is good in a way I suppose!CheersJamie
  15. I couldn't agree more Alex, also the meanest looking aircraft :DJAMMUR
