September 22, 201312 yr This piece of amazing wizardry is hard to see quickly because of its lower EICAS location. Is there a pre-set way to bring this into useable view? Didn't see in Tutorial #1 if there is. Thanks! September 22, 201312 yr There's a pre-defined VC view onto the pedestral (hit 'A' a couple of times). Also a 2D window with the lower DU exclusively. If it's not mentioned in the tutorial it's for sure in the intro doc. What happened to AVSIM
September 22, 201312 yr Author There's a pre-defined VC view onto the pedestral (hit 'A' a couple of times). Also a 2D window with the lower DU exclusively. If it's not mentioned in the tutorial it's for sure in the intro doc. Thanks I do appreciate it-- however I guess I was wondering about the view you see in the Tutorial itself which is one you'd see by manually zooming there on an angle from the POV of the pilot. The pedestal view pretty much obscures everything else. Maybe it's possible to save a view and program it to a keystroke using FSUIPC? September 23, 201312 yr You can set the preset view (that you get by cycling the views with A) to F10 (or F11 or 12) by following the directions in this post: (post 23 in the thread in case the link doesn't take you directly there) http://forum.avsim.net/topic/421182-is-the-pmdg-777-documentation-missing-important-panel-access-information/#entry2800786 The post talks about the overhead, just apply that to the entry you want. September 23, 201312 yr Author Whats wrong with the space bar and middle mouse button to zoom? You know I found the method and didn't see it before. You can assign any of the system conditions buttons to an upper EICAS so you're good to go. You can assign the CKL to the left upper EICAS by clicking this button in the Control Panel and assigned the CKL to it: Very cool!
