September 22, 201312 yr Hi all I've been trying to complete the above route in the T7. I have used a saved flight as I don't have the time to do a real time one. On Two occasions the flight has failed to follow the fms programed Plan (egll to cyvr direct). I use auto compression of time with lnav and vnsv armed In the first instance I found the plane skimming along the ground With the gear extended automatically somewhere in North America. On the other the plane failed to turn South towards cyvr and continued Straight across North america and started making slow s shaped turns On the way. Also the nav display showed cyvr in the centre rather than the plane At the end of the Magenta Line. I don't use any other addons other than opus fsx. Any help would be appreciated Jay
September 22, 201312 yr EGLL to CYVR direct is not actually a valid flight plan. I suggest you spend a little time with a flight planners such as http://www.flightsimaviation.com/_flight_planner.html and/or Simroutes at http://www.simroutes.com/fb2/showplans.aspx to produce an actual flight plan for the FMS to follow. These are just free examples, but there are plenty of others you can use. Also worth knowing is that saved flights have always been a bit troublesome for complex sims, as if there is anything untoward, saving and loading again tends to exaggerate it. Paul Smith.
September 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member saved flights have always been a bit troublesome for complex sims Very correct. The Trike should always be the default aircraft on the Free Flight screen in FSX. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 23, 201312 yr Author Hi Paul and Byork Thanks for those replies. Interestingly simroutes allows a direct route between EGLL and CYVR on the generate route option, wheras the flightsimaviation link gives a more detailed routing with fixes. I will try the above and hope to have more success. Jay

Jay Generate Route is the option when you want to build the entire flightplan your self, something that is going to take quite some time, and knowledge of valid airways etc. Search route is the better option and a better bet for most users and cranks out this plan: CPT UL9 KENET UN14 BAKUR UN546 DEVOL UN544 BABAN UP618 RESNO 5720N 6330N 6840N 7050N 7160N NADMA 7080N SEDAG ALSAB YSM J528 YWL HEIRE ELIDI KEINN7 Regards, Karl Mathias Moberg
