October 9, 201312 yr Hi, I was wondering what the best was to set up Separate reverse levers for my saitek pro throttle quadrant? Right now I have the set through FSUIPC, as a direct to FSUIPC for reverse 1 For one lever and reverse 2 for the other. Also, i was having the same problem when I had the reversers Assigned to a button, after I touchdown, I would press the button To activate the reverse thrust, it wouldn't activate, I had to wold the button for a while before it activated. I I usually reduse the throttles to idle at at 20ft for touchdown but I'm not sure, usually at touchdown the N1 it at 30% or so. Aaron Brazda.
October 9, 201312 yr I am not sure but I think reverse won't catch until N1 goes down to idle. --Peter Fabian
October 9, 201312 yr I use 2 Saitek quadrants and have the reverse thrust set to the "buttons" that are at the bottom of the throttle axis. In other words, I pull the throttles to idle, then move the throttles down into the "buttons" on the axis. I don't use FSUIPC. I have everything programmed with FSX and haven't had any problems. I did adjust the "repeat action" slider on the thrust reverse to about half. With the "repeat action" slider set at about half, the thrust reverse will slowly increase past idle reverse eventually reaching full thrust reverse if needed. Hope this helps and makes sense. October 10, 201312 yr The Saitek throttle is very easy to set up for reverse thrust. Go to Buttons and Switches Check Profile Specific Press #1 Throttle lever down through detent Check box Select for FS Control Select Throttle 1 Decr from drop down menu Control sent when button pressed Parameter 0 Check Control to repeat while held Select Throttle 1 Cut from drop down menu under Control sent when button released Parameter 0 Set the same way for throttle # 2. Now you will get the correct reverse thrust no matter what your N1 is when landing. To cancel reverse thrust move levers up through detent to idle. MAke sure you unassign reverser controls in FSX. The same if you assigned the throttle, unassign them in FSX Controls Rob

October 12, 201312 yr The tricky part I have found about this is that the throttles take a long time to completely close on landing. If they aren't completely closed you can't get into reverse thrust. I have two Saitek throttle quadrants too. I have it set so when I move throttle one into the reverse detent it commands F1 to close the throttle. Throttle two commands F2 to decrease the throttles and move them into the reverse zone. I experimented with using another lever for reverse axis through FSUIPC. What I would do is move throttle one into the reverse zone detent and leave it there briefly to get the throttles to fully close and then take it out of the detent then use the lever mapped to reverse and activate the reverse levers by moving it in it's axis. This worked most of the time but not always. Using my other method works all the time so for reliability's sake I just do it that way. Tom Landry
