Need help with starlight Halo.bmp

Hey, I think I got my old star light back by simply moving my old halo.bmp. I didn't do anything else.

Hmmm...

IF anyone wants to try here it is.

within your FSX\Texture folder

Copy your halo.bmp and put it somehwere as backup

Then rename this file as halo.bmp and put it in your fsx\texture folder and startup FSX.

This should work in DX9 and DX10 as well..  I still need to test this some more.

Ok but dx10 doesn't alter halo.bmp  so I don't see how it has changed.  But you can change it if you have a different one.

You are right steve... Some add on has replaced my old Halo, bmp and now when I put my original one back, it looks good I think.

and if you want to try another startlight halo.bmp. This is not mine ( Original star HALO) and I am not sure who gave this to me... so I am unable to acknowledge the person.

rename this file to halo.bmp and use it in your fsx\texture folder

Hi Steve,

If you recall our last email correspondence, this subject is exactly what I was referring to.

Do you like it?

I like the Original file too...  I realized that so many addon vendors mess with that halo.bmp (They shouldn't without notifying us). So I always keep my favorites ones backed up.

Do I like it? No - it's g**-awful!

Yeah - I do have a set of them kicking around, and will settle on something.. no time at the moment, though! Just have to avoid those spikey bits!
