What tweaks do you have in your CFG? I *think* setting buffer pools to zero can cause this (textures to black out).

And bigger textures certainly do have an impact on VAS, larger texture use = less VAS = better chance at an OOM error.

 

Bigger textures also must have an effect on performance because those textures must be loaded into memory. More memory operations means stutters and more memory operations means system bottlenecks in speed are exposed. Some people also confuse crashes for an OOM when the problem lies with the BP=0 tweak; BP=0 will always crash FSX if the GPU cannot cope with the memory load placed upon it.

And i use PMDG 737NGX.

 

I just made a flight from LEBL to LEPA, when i was landing at LEPA, only one FAIB 737 was black(and just that one i think have missing texture, because it´s always black...). But after i was  looking around in my virutual flightdeck, all the other FAIB 737 also whent black.

When starting at LEBL, it was no problem with the FAIB 737:s at the airport, and it was a lot of AI traffic there, with a lot of FAIB 737:s.

 

Of course this must have with performance to do, but why not the FAIB Airbus? The Airbus is always ok, and it can be many of them at the airport.

 

Can it be some of the FAIB 737 textures, who make this problem? For example, if one TUIfly 737-8w have a texture problem, could that one also make problem for the others?

 

I have FS Texture checker, and there is no big problem with the FAIB texture, just som missing lightmaps, but i have moved the lightmap after the update.

there is a problem with some textures, for the thomson ones, i cant remember though how i fixed it. i think i changed the textures from bmp to dds

 

i use a program called fsaddon converter and steves dx10 fixer too and i dont have any issues with proformance.
