October 29, 201312 yr With PMDG not adopting P3d and stating they're working on a XP release in the future it could make an enormous difference. Respectfully, it hasn't yet. Nor has Aerosoft's attempt at adopting into the platform as well... (shrug) I get the impression that since the big names are not exactly leaping into the fray, that what might end up happening is that smaller developers will slowly (apparently very very very slowly) fill the vacant niche and become the Orbx and etc equivalent of the Xplane world....... That has been X-Plane's deal since day one... perhaps not their goal, but it's what has happened in practice. I think too many people (myself included!) put their hopes and dreams into X-Plane 10 on the sole basis that FSX was old and MS Flight was a Greek tragedy, and developers would run like moths to a flame.... alas, not to be. HiFlyer, I couldn't agree more with your statement about XP11, even backing into how the XP10.x development cycle might have an impact... that could be a thread in and of itself...
