Best to wait for the ones with custom cooler to come out, should be out in a few weeks! DICE has said that while MANTLE is great, it has been making the R9s fry from overheat, because of how demanding it is! For 20 dollars more you will be free of that worry, just have to wait some time.

You might be happier in an R9 270X. About 30% more powerful.

I know it is a rebranded 7790 but it is cheap. In India the price is always higher.

 

The 270x is more expensive and I have to look after my power bills because now they are coming very high.

It's not rebranded. The architecture actually is new. The 290x has the new hawaii cpu.

Looks like a 7970 ghz, but actually beats a 2gig more titan in a lot of tests.

Ya with a new architecture. The only reason I will change to R7 260x is for X plane 10. Of course even for FSX.

 

But I feel when it comes to Certain aircrafts VC in FSX my fps will drop . So I have to OC my 960T and hope don't need to change it.
