RealAir Legacy and Winds problem or AccuFeel problem?

Featured Replies

I'm having a strange problem with RealAir Legacy (and so far ONLY the Legacy).

Almost always after about 20 minutes into flight (at cruise with AP on), I go thru what looks like WILD turbulance ... 100 mph winds bouncing all over the place and I'll go from FL70 to FL120 in a matter of a couple of seconds.  There are no other heavy jets in the vicinity.  After about 10 minutes of this crazy turbulence it'll return to normal 8KTS winds.

As a test I ran the RealAir Duke thru same flight plan, same weather (FSGRW) and no issues at all, about a 8 KTS wind most of the flight.

AccuFeel was running with both the Duke and the Legacy.  My gut feeling says the Legacy and AccuFeel don't get along ... is this a known issue?

Anyone else have this problem with the Legacy, if so, is there a solution?

Thanks, Rob.

Hi Rob,

Have exactly the same scenario with Lancair Legacy and AccuFeel.  Massive uncontrolable turbulence after 10/20 mins of flight.  Only cure was spoilers out and descend to a low level.  I aggree, I think there is a conflict but what to do I don't know.

I have/had the same problem and if you go to the A2A-forum, you can see a thread about the same thing. I have not tested it myself yet, but upgrading Accufeel to 2.09 should take care of the problem. I think its a beta-patch, but its available for all to DL.

Try it and see if it helps...

I had this as well always about 5-10 minutes into flight ,  was using it in FSPassengers  and the plane always got ripped to pieces unless I decended or climbed immediatly when the shaking started. (now disabled crashes etc in fsx).

Will try the patch, cheers

I thought there was an Accufeel update that resolved this issue. I flew the Legacy yesterday, after a long hiatus, and do not have these issues anymore. I use FSGRW and v2.09 of Accufeel.

The patch should solve this for you and also add a few things that where suggested by customers. Details in the thread link posted by SolRayz
