November 9, 201312 yr Hi Have fsx running full screen window mode using triplehead2go at 5040x1050 Getting around 28 fps Just dragged windows down about 1inch and frames shot up to around 80plus Great, but I would love to get the same with full windows anyone explain or help me to do it Thanks Mike Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk 4
November 9, 201312 yr Ok, assuming this is not a wind up  The reason you are getting 80fps with the window reduced to 1 inch is because you have reduced the window to 1 inch, therefore reducing the workload by a huge amount. If you can reduce the window even more you could get even higher. Its simply not possible to get the same fps regardless of window size.
November 9, 201312 yr Author Hi No this is genuine and yes ive tried all resolutions to reduce the pixels used By the way the window size is only dragged down 1 inch no resizing just moved down a bit Only you put a 1inch window size Funny thing is no matter what resolution I use I stillget the same frame rates fully windowed, and no matter how much more I reduce the the frame size I get no more fps than about 80 Same for fs9, but with xplane10 makes no difference to the frame rates at all no matter what size the window Finally as i drag the window down from the top theres no fps movement until it reaches a certain spot about 1 inch then it suddenly jumps from 28 to 80 plus Let me say again I do not alter the window size just drag it down about a 1 inch from the top Mike Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk 4
November 9, 201312 yr Can you please clear up this question: Are you dragging the whole window down using the top border to drag, so the bottom border disappears below the limits of your monitor and below where the task bar is? November 9, 201312 yr I play on a 3xEyefinity setup, FSX is DX10 with Fixer and all. I do get better frames if I run windowed-full screen, and if I re-dimension the window by dragging both its sides some 8 inches toward the center monitor, my fps' skyrocket. Wouldn't you know...
November 9, 201312 yr Author Can you please clear up this question: Are you dragging the whole window down using the top border to drag, so the bottom border disappears below the limits of your monitor and below where the task bar is? Yep dragging the whole window downbelow monitor Mike Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk 4
November 9, 201312 yr I think then that is why? does that not mean that the portion below the task bar is not being rendered and therefore a substantial reduction in computer workload has been created?

November 9, 201312 yr Author Hi Yep thats what I thought , so tried dropping resolutions no increase in frames unless I dropped window Also this does not happen when using xplane only fs9 and fsx Mike Sent from my GT-P5110 using Tapatalk 4

November 10, 201312 yr What a great place to live 1st fltsimguy, I love Bella Coola in FS While off topic, I imagine a lot of folks are very comfortable with the place that they call home. However, I was born in Montreal, moved out west to "find myself", who I wanted to be, as soon as I got to the Rocky Mtns I said, "why the heck does anybody live east of the Rockies"? lol. Fell in love with the great outdoors, , vast forests, mountains, trees over 200' tall, rivers, wildlife and Mediterranean, temperate weather. Not a big fan of big city life, noise, pollution, people rushing everywhere, "escaping" to the great outdoors every chance they can where I choose to live in the first place. Nuff said. I agree with you. apologies for being so so off topic. Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
November 10, 201312 yr Sounds nice. One can get the same effect in Northumberland, England... but with more castles per sq. mile than anywhere on the planet. .... Great, (especially if you like castles, built between 800-1500 CE ). Oops, sorry I kept it O/T too.
