777F - Smoke below the fuselage

Featured Replies

Hi,

After landing I can see smoke below the fuselage, it's coming from between the main gears (see attached image). I did not strike the tail during landing, touchdown was rather soft than hard. I took this image with Aerosoft's Dusseldorf add-on, but the same issue happened to me the other day with the default scenery of Beijing.

Does anybody know where the smoke comes from? And how do I get rid of it?

Thanks,

Thomas

This is the FSX Rain/Snow Effect and a well known bug. Once you fly through rain or snow, it will stick to your plane. Nothing you can do about it besides disabling the whole effect.

Yep, what Chrjs said..

It will even be there if you take off and retract the gear

Cool, thanks. However, there was neither rain nor snow during the landing, where does it come from then? Can the effect even start when flying through clouds?

What about when you took off? It can start at the departure airport and stay with you forever.

Might be a possibility, I don't remember exactly the weather conditions. At least I know now that it's a common issue.
