680GTX and 331.82 drivers

Featured Replies

I’m always hesitant these days to instal new drivers when everything is working ok.

Often get half way through and start cursing myself when the instal fails part way through !

However I am tempted by Battlefield 4 on the PC, but don’t want to mess with my FSX installation as it’s performing the best ever at present.  However my drivers on my 680GTX are over a year old and suspect these will not be great for BF4.

Anyone had any experience of 331.82 with FSX and if so any problems installing or with performance?

I also   run on  3 monitors.

Any advise appreciated

Cheers

Steve

I installed the new driver yesterday and it's fine, I run mainly photoscenery. These new game ready drivers do seem very good.

Lol took the risk installed fine but I run fsx in full screen mode and won't work with fsx full screen read through all the release notes and there is a mention of shift alt not working in fsx. O well back to the old drivers bf4 will have to be on the xbox or not at all now :-)

Scrub that , feeling of despair over,  fsx had defaulted back to a low resolution not spanning over the 3 screens in full screen mode, changed within fsx back to 5760x 1080  and all appears to be working now.....BF4 back on the Christmas list

Hello Guys!

I updated my Nvidia driver to the latest version (331.82), and when I try to start the FSX, I always got a message below:

"This graphics card does not meet minimum requirements for shades support. This product reguires geForce3/Radeon8500 class or better graphics card. Flight simulator will now exit."

I have this configuration:

GeForce GTX680

Intel Core i7-3820

16 GB RAM

Win7 pro 64 bit

Do you have any idea to solve this issue?

I installed manually and excluded the 3d part of the drivers and the GeForce experience and all seems ok. Have you tried uninstalling going back to your original drivers checking works with those then reinstal again? Worth a try?

Infact after updating to 331.82 I used to get fps loss so reverted back to .65

I can report no problems after a short initial test. Same performance as always.

VSync was broken in 331.65, not sure how that is in this driver, haven't had the time to try out. I will see soon.

No issues here...then again, I have put FSX temporarily to pasture as I forge on ahead with Assassin's Creed 4. That game is unbelievable.
