November 22, 201312 yr Hi All, I understood that the Dry Weight of the 777-200LR is around 147 tons, yet obviously the PMDG one weighs in at around 156 tons. Just wonder what this difference is? Thanks Carl Beeby
November 23, 201312 yr I'm not sure what you mean with Dry Weight? Operating Empty Weight? Manufacturer Empty Weight? Name available upon request
November 23, 201312 yr Author Operating empty weight..... If that helps? I.e. aircraft will not accept a zfw of less than 156, so does this mean that it's empty weight is 156? Thanks Carl Carl Beeby

November 23, 201312 yr Operating Empty Weight will depend on a host of factors. Not the least of which, options taken up dy the airline and cabin configuration. Depending on which interior/manufacturer is chosen by the operator, OEW tends to vary quite a bit, even between airplanes within the same airline. Name available upon request
November 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member Our 737-300's all have different dry op weights and they have very similar dry operating weights. I? would love PMDG to have a think about giving us more options in load planning for the aircraft and possibly allow different dry operating weights for different liveries, loading the aircraft our selves to adjust the CG, etc. etc. Alex also, when loading zfw's into the fmc, to generate different CG's instead of the same one everytime Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! November 28, 201312 yr You are not going to find a real world paseenger -200LR that weights 147,000Kgs.... Just for you info. The average DOW for the 10 -200LRs in the Emirates fleet is 162,000kgs. The overhead crew rest alone weighs 1,000kgs. Emirates aircraft are typically on the upper end of the DOW range (10 abreast seating in economy) so the 156,000kgs is probably in the lower end of a typical 200LR DOW. Nothing PMDG did wrong here.
November 30, 201312 yr Author Thanks All! I think I originally read this http://www.boeing.com/assets/pdf/commercial/airports/acaps/777rsec2.pdf and maybe that's where the figure in my mind came from. But yes not surprised there would be a big difference. Carl Beeby
