Whats the difference?

Featured Replies

OK, What is the in sim difference between Professional and academic license if any, and sorry before hand if it is obvious.

The only technical difference is that the Academic version includes a small watermark in the top right corner.

Each version has different licenses, there is information on the Prepar3D website comparing the licenses of each version. It is up to you to decide which one fits your description.

Did you read the chart and the explanation of the different licenses? Academic -Students  Profesional-Everything else. THAT simple.

yes I did, Did u read my post, "in sim difference". I read all about the license stuff, I just want to know if there are extra features between academic and professional "in sim".

Sorry, but I am in a grey area with this.

Currently I have my Australian PPL (Fixed wing) but my licence has lapsed; I've not been a command pilot for 5-6 years. I am intending to re-start my training in the new year, as a result I am unsure if I would qualify for academic pricing?

Many thanks to anybody who can advise me.

AJ.

Kind regards,

Andrew.

You dont need 'qualify' for anything!!

Just decide what version you want to buy.. (hint!!... the Academic seems to be the one to go for!) & buy it!

Excellent hint, right to the point.

I am learning to fly on my desktop, at home. I am learning, therefore I am a student, ergo; I am an Acedemic..no license issue here!!

Folks, once again this is straying into a license rationalization thread. Please do not go there.
