RC4.3 and P3D v2?

Featured Replies

Look at the Controller tab in RC and although not pulled from P3D2 make sure the destination data is appropriate. Look for the approach frequency although I think since you have contacted approach it must be OK since approach has assigned a runway and given you the choice of an IAP.

Are you getting departure vectors OK (if your first waypoint is beyond 30 nm and you have not overridden the choice of No Dep Procedure)?

Also in rcv4\data open r4.csv in notepad or wordpad, search on the ICAO label, and make sure the runway data including LOC frequencies are present.

r4.csv is copied from r5.csv in your P3D folder.

Are your comms tuning correctly? Do you have the option to autotune the comms on? RC uses a fixed com frequency database which should work OK.

Have you checked with default airports and scenery at all?

Check out the readme.txt file in the makerwys v4.674 zip file especially regarding RC4.

Thanks pete you are a legend

I fly with RC4.3 in P3D2 but I never get vectored approach. I always have to choose either visual or IAP. Why? I never had this problem FSX. Anyone can solve this problem?? Other than this RC43 works very nice in P3D2.

I installed 4.923. in P3D2. Placed Makerunwas 4674 in P3D2 folder and run rebuild in RC.

Thanks for help,

I flyed several times now and I can say that the problem I described above was probably because the distance btw airports was too close. I can say now that the experience I get from RC4.3 in P3Dv2 is the same as that in FSX. I am enjoying using RC4 in P3Dv2 now. Thanks for the help anyway.

I have one more question. Is it possible save and load RC state in P3Dv2? I tried but I have not suceeded yet.

Check your path to flt/wxr files. Do not back out with a cancel in the browser as it could corrupt your RC dat files. You might wish (in the RC folder you use for P3Dv2) in the main folder to copy rcv3.dat and keyboard.dat to a safe place outside of RC's folders.

Also check your key assignment for this as it can be contrary to the RCv4 manual default.

Thanks now I can save the flight with RC properly! I have one more question if I can ask.

Why do I get always "Winds clam" announcement from tower during final approach even when I get a stormy weather?

I wonder if RC gets weather info from P3Dv2 but it should because I get correct wind's information from tower for take off.

I don't remember how it was for FSX but I did not notice this problem when I flyed with FSX.

I use Opus for weather.

Any advice would be appriciated.

For a check, anyone else have this problem with weather on final with P3D2?

I am not familiar with OPUS. What arrival weather options does it have. Did it work with FSX?

You should be using fsuipc4.928 available here:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/

Does OPUS have a support forum? You might want to ask there as well.

I have made a bit more research.

This "winds calm" issue has been reported in other topics. The issue has been reported in FSX with using other weather app like ASE. It seems that the issue has not been resolved.

I also discussed with Opus about the issue. It seems that Opus Weather Engine sends weather info to the sim properly.

If it is a bug in RC, I understand that the issue is not resolvable.
A question is, is it possible to disable "Winds calm" announcement? I like RC very much and it gives me rather realistic ATC experince. But this "Winds Calm" annoucememnt makes me feel sort of deflected in the final and one of most thrilling moment of the flight.

Many thanks

YY
