Clarification on 2D panel undocking.

Featured Replies

I wonder if someone can confirm if you are able to Undock 2D panels in windowed mode, move them to a second screen and then go into full screen mode, just like you can do with FSX.  There have been some conflicting posts on this issue.

Second, are you able to just move 2D panels to a second screen when starting in Full Screen mode.  This is something that cannot be done with FSX.

thanks,

Yes, I can confirm on your first question. In windowed mode, you simply drag your other window (ATC for example) onto your other screen. If you then go to full screen, your windows stay where you placed them.

As for your second question, I have not tried yet.

Something I've noticed, and there probably aren't a lot of people with this issue....

My main card, an AMD 7850, drives my main monitor and a TV on the other side of the room

My second monitor is driven by a crappy on-board Intel gfx card. FSX could never make use of this 2nd screen, any undocked 2D cockpit windows dragged across woul show up black

On Prepar3d however, these windows show up fine B)
