Is this the new Prepar3D? What has happened? I have a GTX 780 Card, 16 GB Ram, Haswell processor 4GZH and SSD drives just refprmatted? What have I done wrong?

Yea it works good I use Nvidia Inspector setting found on Word Not Allowed's FSX tweaking guide they seem to boost my FPS while increasing AA quality

How did you get NI to work with P3D? I made a profile for P3D in NI and I don't think it works. Did you disable both FXAA and MSAA in P3D?

 

The current AA in P3D, well, sucks even at 8xMSAA, especially comparing to what I got in FSX using NI setting of 8xS+2xSGSSAA. I couldn't wait to get NI to work with P3D, but LM said on P3D forum that in DX11 you can't simply get NI to override app's AA settings. LM actually needs Nvidia to update the driver software to make that possible for P3D..

 

So that makes me even more curious how people were able to get NI to work on P3D right now...

LM have already said that NI doesnt work. They are consulting with Nvidia as to why. Not sure how people are supposedly getting NI to work either.......

These are my NI settings. IDK my AA seems better after this and my FPS went up maybe its all in my head haha.

 

I left the AA settings in P3D alone all on full. I will say that if you look at the DX10 forum they have a way of making NI work in DX10 (which I use in FSX) and I just pretty much copied my NI settings from FSX to P3D. In DX10 the antialiasing-setting doesn't work but transparency super sample does so maybe that's where I got my AA boost in P3D.

Thanks a lot! I have similar settings in my P3D NI profile too. I'll test it again when I go home tonight. I'm ok with the FPS in P3D even at 8xMSAA, but I really want to much better AA quality like SGSSAA...

My NI was working with FSX DX10 no problem though, didn't think I made anything special in NI from DX9 to DX10.

You can not force MSAA in DX10/DX11 games. This has nothing to do with P3D. 

 

But you can force SGSS just like in DX10 FSX. That's what people who are "getting NI to work" are seeing.

I for sure knew that I got AA to work in DX10 very well, as you said the difference is huge at 8xS + 2xSGSS. Sometime I bumped it to 4xSGSS but my GTX580 would really struggle on it..

 

So far with similar settings in NI P3D profile I haven't see any difference - it seems only the AA settings within the P3D actually matter.

I think that's likely the case, as DX11 is just DX10 with a steroid or two added in..... (but I don't want to spend sixty bucks to find out!)

 

I wouldn't worry, though - Nvidia will fix it just as soon as LM asks them to..  :lol:
