P3D and Flight Sim Commander and Plan-G

Featured Replies

The more I use P3D the more I like it. I wish that the above Flight Planners were compatible with P3D. I have v2. I understand that previous versions contained a FS.exe that made FSC compatible. I have the latest FSC 9.3. Anyone have any more information regarding this.

Thanks.

Bill

FSC is does work in P3Dv2. It needs FSUIPC installed though. I don't know about Plan G.

Enjoy!

Plan-G works fine with P3Dv2.  Of course the airfield database is taken from that you set via FSX - but then they're the same anyway.  So if you add a field not in P3D(FSX) default, make sure you add in FSX as well and run the Plan-G  database setup for FSX..

Good news from both of you. There is no "Add-On" tab in P3D. So how do you set it up? I copied the fsuipc.dll into the P3D root directory, but that doesn't work.

Thanks.

I downloaded the latest FSUIPC installer for FSX and let it install...into my P3Dv2 directory. It created a 'modules' folder to put all the pieces into and after inserting my reg key, FSC worked. I don't think FSC needs a registered version though...

Ok GregG did exactly what you said and installed into P3D. I'm a happy camper.

Have a great Holiday1

Thank You.

Now for plan-3G

I tried last night to install the FSC dfg into P3DV@ to create the scnery link folder for airports. It wouldnt recognize P3DV2. Unless I done something wrong, it wont create a database. It does allow the moving map and everything just cant create the database.?

Rendi,

I did what GregG said and it worked fine for me.

Thansk Bill. What I was referring to was updating the database for FSC in a network setup. The auto updater you place in the P3D root to create the scenerycfg.fsc doesn't find the V2 scenery file. I worked around it by opening the scenery, cfg in the apps folder and renaming scenerydfg.fsc and manically placing it in the P3D root folder. Was able to update datebase on the client computer fine now.

Thanks Agan

BTW. Pete has posted a P3Dv2 update FSUIPC module.

Thanks JJ. Good info.
