November 29, 201312 yr That should shed some light on the need for a strong card. Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
November 29, 201312 yr I have a dell u3014 2560x1600 and cant use this resolution with my 570gtx 1,2gb I have to go down to 1920x1200 to get 20-30fps With my graphic card goes better 1920x1200 and high level sliders, than 2560x1200 at very low levels. Thinking in purchase a 770 4g, or 780. I dont know which one is better in order to play at 2560x1600. It is a high resolution and perphaps 4gb is important.
November 29, 201312 yr Author Very interesting feedback Alioth, thank you. There's a long thread I initiated on the forum on the topic of what card is the best. A 780 and up seems the way to go but I wonder whether the VRAM of the Titan shouldn't make the difference. November 29, 201312 yr I'm using a GTX 780 flying at 1440p. With REX and FTX Global I'm seeing typically 70-80% gpu usage with spiking upto 99% occasionally. This is with relatively low levels of shadows but with HDR. VRAM is between 2.4 and 2.7GB!!
November 29, 201312 yr I'm at 1440 with a 770/2gb. No issues to speak of. If any appear, I'll just drop a setting or two down a notch.
