TBM850

Featured Replies

I would like to ask for opinions about TBM850.

There are two versions on the market - Carenado and Wilco.

Which one is better ?

I do not have the Wilco bird, but the Carenado version is nice.. especially if you apply some G1000 mods and

have an RXP GNS as a popup to do the real navigation.

The G1000 as provided, is very basic, to say it kindly..

To be honest Wilco is presenting their TBM with more details, so reading just desription of those two i would say that Wilco is closer to be "the chosen one".

But on the other hand, i have their ERJ and Embraer, and i was never a big fun of those - especialy their FDE.

So i am a bit careful with Wilco now.

I have both the carenado looks good and has an improved (limited) g1000 over the fsx default and has good trames .

The wilco when working looks good and has more g1000 features but is a slideshow on frames and on my system, if re-booted after install has a ctd on loading. It may be improved by patches and the ctd may be system specific, I'm waiting for a reply from Wilco support.

The Carenado works if you want one now, but otherwise wait and see what happens with the Wilco.

Cheers
