September 8, 201510 yr Try Reshade. Looks just as good as ENB with none of the instability (I can alt-enter as many times as I like, or close to it anyway, without a crash--with ENB I would be very lucky to get a single alt-enter in before crashing it) and without the FPS hit, either. James
September 8, 201510 yr Do you mean the program Shade? That program also has ENBSeries.ini settings in the Shade directory. Cheap program and it makes FSX look great! September 8, 201510 yr Nope (actually I found Shade to be kind of a bust, and definitely not a replacement for ENB). Reshade can be found here: http://reshade.me/ James
September 8, 201510 yr Thanks James. I was not aware of this program. I'm trying to figure out where I was when it was released. I have a 34 inch monitor now (got rid of the old 30 inch Dell) and I've really never seen the need to use EnbSeries or SweetFX. I've tried both but had anomalies or crashes so stopped the frustrations and kept things as they are. I use Shade occasionally and it seems to enhance my photoscenery but using it less now. Just too many toys. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 19, 201510 yr Thank you very much James! I installed reshade to FSX and its truly a replacement for ENB. It can look just as awesome as ENB or even better! And it doesnt crash! Hallelujah! Many greetings, Patrick Patrick Helzer
September 20, 201510 yr Patrick, glad to help spread the word. I felt exactly the same way when I found it. Turns out FSX is a lot more fun when you're not always worried it's about to crash! James
