A2A C172 Interior Lighting Question

Featured Replies

Could someone please give me a clue as to where the controls or switches are for the interior lighting.  I have looked and looked and yes have even tried to find this in the manual.  It mentions something about the overhead console.  I expect to feel kind of dumb when someone answers this question, but where the heck is the overhead console?

I don't have this aircraft, but today I was looking at a few related videos and recall that the cockpit lighting options were contained in a window rather than on the panel, so you may need to scroll through the aircraft options, setup or windows to find it.

Alternatively, have a look at the a2a promo videos on youtube - though they are quite long.

They're in the real world location... controlled by various knobs in the lower mid section of the panel.  And explained in the manual... there's actually a middle click zone and the outer knob clickzone.

In the ceiling/roof above your right shoulder. Two black push buttons about six inches apart. They control the two big white interior lights. The dash - instrument - glare lighting is controlled by the two black round knobs at the bottom of the instrument panel, in front of your right knee. Use your mouse/mouse wheel to turn them. They are also labelled, though hard to see.

Hope this answers your question.

All the Best,

For some reason when I "look up" at 60% zoom, I can't see the switches.  But when I look to my right and then look up I can see them.  Kind of weird but it works.  Thanks all for the responses.  This forum sure helps out at times.  And especially for us non-flyers in the real world.
