January 6, 201412 yr Commercial Member Ah i thought they did follow the real world stuff. They try to, but there aren't enough people on VATSIM available to staff to realistic levels all the time. As an example, this facility is usually staffed by one person on VATSIM: So, even though they try to get the general radio technique, and flow right, it's still different. You don't end up talking to nearly as many people on VATSIM as you would in real life. Additionally, VFR handling generally isn't correct on VATSIM too often, but I haven't flown VFR in Europe on VATSIM, ever. I'm only speaking from the US side. Kyle Rodgers

Ok. right now I am on vatsim sitting at EHAM and these are the ATC I see EHAM Delivery EHAM Ground EHAM Tower EHAM W APP And of course the ATIS. But yeah I got the point.
