Of course they will drag behind but no reason they would drag behind so much as it currently do.Most of this extra features put more pressure on video card rather than CPU and it

Could be worse, FAA certified sims seem to still be coming out of the 80s in respect to graphics. The Frasca 142 sims that most flight schools are getting now have the graphics of about FS4. :-lol----------------------------------------------------------------John S. Yes FS 2008 should be just about photorealistic :)That is where we are heading actually. Amazing how fast it goes.

Well, jaws down to the floor. Also noticed the missing tire smoke puffs, lol. Only thing to criticize right now.Other than that, I think they got some Gosh darn good looking ground textures, quite good lighting effects. The ice impressed me.Well I have seen HL2 a couple days ago for the first time and really liked the whole bump mapping on most textures. Actually been quite blown away, have not looked at how games advanced for quite a long time. But really loved the ice and its bump mapping as well as the reflections. Also cool snow, although the moving texture on the ground seemed too static to me.Extremly loved the approach scenes shown in about the last third of the movie.I just hope MS will introduce some DX9 stuff in FS10. Normal bump mapping adds a lot IMHO. But I have really no clue how processing intense these technologies are... Well, I just keep hoping. :-)Thanks a ton for sharing this link with us.RegardsEtienne :-wave

Oh, forgot to mention the great landing light beams. The current FS ones are junk compared to that... Uh. :-eek

I think that video is awesome. I would be interested also in high altitude flight. I would like the sky to get really dark the higher you go up. I would also like to see photo realistic ground textures like in the video. Airports are fantastic in that video. Lets have fs2006 have realistic airports with the appropriate airlines serving the major airports around the world.
