I have the Saitek trim wheel which is great. Does anyone know how to add trim wheel click sounds to it when in use. It would really make it more complete. Many thanks.

tried a few ideas , bent paper clip selo-taped on. cut out card board but my most recent is a elastic band, light wieght of course.

Well very interesting, I never thought about this.  I guess the bigger planes have a clicking sound when it is turned, but on float planes the hard rubber wheels that adjust trim don't.

 

I will take a look at these ideas as well.

I was thinking of somehow assigning a wav file when the wheel was used. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it?

The pic737 had a anoying wave file sound, so it must be possible, it was almost constant scraping noise. So it depends on which aircraft you use.

Thanks guys. I have a couple of wav sounds that I could use, I was wondering if it is possible to assign these to the trim wheel when in use and how to do it.
