What settings are you using?

 

Scenery settings here:

 

 

 

I'm using DX9. 

 

In FSX.cfg I have

 

TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=2048

 

 and 

 

LOD_RADIUS=4.5

 

Plus HIGHMEMFIX=1 and various tweaks that Bojote's automatic tweaking tool added there. 

 

 

Road & traffic is turned off, I use UT2 for airline traffic. It doesn't generate as much traffic as Mytraffic does but it's still quite a lot in major international airports. Cloud draw distance set to 90 miles... Light bloom turned off.

Just gave Male and the T7 a try with high, but still sensible graphics settings (LOD radius still at 4.5): At dawn I can easily start with 3.4 GB VAS already.

 

Looks like Male, when combined with the T7, needs a lower graphics profile (lower settings for lower VAS usage).

Does FSX do the same thing as FS9 - load extra textures at dawn and dusk ?
