Hi Jim, thanks for the post on that MTX find. Will try that myself.Have been getting fps hit with MTX as well.

Edit. @ FSDT KORDm 20% AI with disabled Exits for Ground Animation and Effect Lights and ticked Use simplified aircraft models and textures and models for wide screen, 30FPS.

Very happy with that. Use to get 18-22, so should help with VAS as well, i'm guessing. I have not noticed any difference in appearance ie models, just better performance. Once again, thanks Jim.

After choosing the 2013 schedule I noticed a great reduction in the number of Ai despite the setting in FSX remaining unchanged. It was only after reverting to the 2012 one the aircraft returned.

I was going to jump on the bandwagon this weekend and try 5.4c with the patches and fixes, but based on your statement Ray it sounds like the 2013 schedules are still not working correctly.  I have the 2012 schedules in 5.4b with plenty of AI at the 20% setting. Do you see any other advantage to having 5.4c?  If I don't have to work this weekend I will try to experiment some.

Have been using it for yonks, and goes into your modules folder. I noticed one day (MTX) there were double BA flights @ EGLL, so Installed AI Dupe, and it fixed the fsx bug of duplicate ai.

I will dig out the dll.xml entry for you, as it can be a bit niggly to install.

Thanks Julian. Downloaded and will install shortly.

I fixed my single-digit problem. It was MyTrafficX configuration. I have my LOD_Radius at 7.5 and Texture_Max_Load 2048 (HD) and lowered my slider for MyTrafficX to 20 as recommended by the developer (he actually recommends 16). Still single digit fps with almost all gates filled at KORD. Read the manual

Thanks Jim, very informative. I will alter my settings and report back. I have LOD back at 4.5 and even with a full screen forward view (no panel) it is only slightly less detailed than the higher 6.5. Never heard of anyone using 7.5.  Good luck with that!

Hi Ted,

if you change to 5.4c make sure you run the schedule check as I had a bad Antonov file which probably caused my crashes. Check this topic too regarding a bad B763 file.

I've been with 5.4c for so long I have no experience with 5.4b so hard to make a recommendation one way or another. What I would suggest is you stay with Autumn 2012 because I found Ai much sparser with Spring 2013. As an example the Emirates A380 flight from Dubai to Manchester disappeared and that's a major airline into UK's 3rd busiest airport. I think something has gone wrong with that schedule because the Ai are noticeably fewer.

I flew EGKK-LIPZ just now and I have to admit to a certain amount of trepidation as I approached the DIK VOR.

But the aircraft passed the point at which it had caused FSX to crash so many times before so I'm now really happy this StackHash bug looks fixed.

I'm going to mark this a solved and hope it helps others. So just to summarise... StackHash errors for me were caused by corrupt aircraft textures in MyTrafficX. Once those were sorted FSX has been very reliable.

Two further flights today. KDEN-KSFO and KSFO-KSLC. Both perfect with no crashes. I'm convinced the StackHash problem has been consigned to history.

I haven't had a crash since January 21st when I went back to the MTX 5.4b version.  It is definitely the fix.

Ray,

I would like to edit your title to something like "Multiple CTD's - NTDLL and StackHash".  This way members can see the crash is all about instead of having to go into the topic and finding out what modules were crashing.  What do you think?

Glad to hear it worked for you too Julian.  It is one of the greatest performance boosts I've seen and it reduces/eliminates stutters too!   Just a quick question though... every time I click on that configuration tool it indicates the light effect and jetways are enabled again and not the current configuration.  Do you see this too?  I wonder why we cannot click on this tool and see what configuration it is in.  You can click on the configuration tools for UTX and, say, FTX Central and they will show you the current configuration but not this tool.

Best regards,

Jim

Yes I do Jim. Always defaults to that setting. I assume that is just the default setting.

Thanks Julian for the response.  I subsequently checked the MyTrafficX forums and saw this was asked there too (in the FAQ area) and you are absolutely correct in your assumption.
