January 11, 201412 yr Just purchased the QPAC as well....is there room on the bus for one more fanatic? Shure! It's a London City bus with 2 floors, so there's plenty of room left for some more to join out club! ;-)
January 11, 201412 yr Author I am enjoying the QPAC a lot. Actually flying it the most... I bought the A380, Emirates livery, a few months ago, but seldom start it, mostly because the 2d panels are difficult to read, the 3d a bit heavy on frames, and I don't know very well how to deal with the "MCDU".... It comes with a powerful Excel spreadsheet, but I confess I was too lazy to use it, but will sooner or later to try a few long haul flights. Flight model / FBW - wise it is of course as good as any of the latest releases by Peter's Aircraft. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 12, 201412 yr Flight model / FBW - wise it is of course as good as any of the latest releases by Peter's Aircraft. If i'm not mistaken, Peter's A320 uses the QPAC FBW plugin.... Pilots: Looking down on people since 1903.
January 12, 201412 yr I would like to add a 380 into the stable, any advice?

Some things you should know about Peter's A380: The MCDU does not allow manipulation of the flight plan. You can't add, delete or edit waypoints.
When you start flying it, it can load a saved flight plan. You can make that flight plan by loading a different plane first, key the route into the default FMC and save it. I use PFPX but I've heard that FSBUILD made plans work as well. The MCDU does not calculate v speeds. You should have a look at a table at the end of the (very good) user manual. Finish the MCDU set up by entering cost index, cruise level, flap engine flex settings. Enroute it shows you top of descent, time do destination, optimized and maximum flight level and approach speed.
You can NOT use time acceleration. If you go back to regular speed, thw fbw plug in goes nuts and you will loose your plane.
What I like about it: It has the same flight model quality and fbw simulation as the 320/321. Fuel flow is very realistic. Working taxi camera. It's a dream to fly. The complete package comes with all 380's in service and in the past Peter added those who joined the real world fleets on time. Not the textures are different only, changing planes you will notice different airline options.
I like it, but you should be an Airbus fanatic to get happy with it's disadvantages.

Gesendet von meinem GT-I9100 mit Tapatalk
